Topic: OSHA Updates

The presentation will consist of an overview of OSHA’s updated focus and initiatives.  It will also cover the top citations from across the nation, OSHA’s cooperative programs, outreach events, and resources for safety professionals.

Speaker: Dan Dwyer, OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist

Dan Dwyer is a Compliance Assistance Specialist for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  He started with OSHA in June of 2016 as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer specializing in Safety.  In July of 2020, he was promoted to the Compliance Assistance Specialist position where his responsibilities include providing general information about OSHA standards, speaking at events, and promoting OSHA’s cooperative programs.  Prior to joining OSHA, Dan served 26 years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring in February of 2016.  Dan was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in the northwest Indiana area.
